A stretch out the stress class is like a good massage that lasts for days. This class starts with a thorough, and easy to learn stretch routine that anyone can do, and finishes with a modern meditation that relaxes the mind and clears mental anguish. No fitness, or flexibility required, so why not get started today.

The first 25 minutes is a 'stretch out the stress' program covering all major muscle groups from head to toe. This style of stretching is slightly different to most with a focus on the PNF stretching technique which ‘resets’ muscles and balances the body clearing hyper and hypo-tonic muscles which underlie hip, back and neck twists, and which often cause ongoing structural and muscular problems. The second difference is a focus on breathing and breath awareness for a greater ability to relax and focus the mind.

The next 20 minutes is a modern style of meditation called 'focus training' which brings awareness to the 5 senses and quietens anguished thoughts. Most people don’t follow through on meditation because of the wandering mind and mental chatter. After 15 minutes of guided focus training, most find the last 5 minutes of silence is a very peaceful and surreal experience after only a few weeks of practice. With the stress now gone, this feeling of peace and ‘non-thought’ can linger on for days and bring much needed mental clarity, greater awareness and fond feelings like patience and inner happiness.
